To conduct full-scale structural testing of box-beams. This is a cooperative study between the FHWA and New York State DOT. The study consists of transporting five box-beam units to the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center, erecting individual beams on an appropriate loading platform, and performing structural testing on the beams. As part of the study, two beams will be reinforced with composite laminates and tested.
