Study Description

A transportation research program conducted primarily by the Land Grant Universities of the New England states. This study was preceded by SPR-3(029) and later on by SPR-3(089).

Objectives

To pool the financial, professional, and academic resources of the region and to focus those resources on the research and development of substantially improved methods for dealing with the common problems associated with the construction, rehabilitation, reconstruction, and operation of the transportation system in New England.

Scope of Work

To conduct various NETC research projects, which address primarily the priority needs of the New England States as determined annually.

Comments

Ongoing. This study replaces SPR-3(029) and SPR-3(009), which had the same objective. 2/14/02 12/13/2010: Extend project end date for eight active FHWA task orders, CY2011 coordination services at UMass-D, and two ongoing UConn MOUs.
