Objectives

Improving the performance of the AASHTO curved girder bridge specifications will benefit all states that design and construct such structures. The goal of the new specification is to optimize curved girder bridge design practice while ensuring consistent safety. It is also the goal to provide fabrication and erection guidance to prevent constructability problems.
