Objectives

To study the effect of rural two-lane roads on the high incidence of fatal accidents in Region 4.

Comments

Currently in the final stage of the study. Phase I of this study involved the participating states selecting 150 accident locations and gathering specific data regarding those locations. Phase II of the study involves the analysis of studying these accident locations. A final report on Phase II will be out within 30 to 60 days. This report will focus on the findings of NC, KY, GA, and possibly TN. (2/5/02)
