This will provide further development and implementation of the Superpave binder and mixer specifications for asphalt pavement designs, by evaluating and improving Superpave technology, providing material designs and analysis equipment on a regional basis, and providing technical assistance and training to members of the North Central Asphalt User Producer Group. This study provides continuous supplemental funds for the North Central Superpave Center for a two year period. These funds supplement the ?training for fee? and other ?for fee? activities of the Center. INDOT and 7 to 9 States will be requesting continuation of this base funding arrangement for FY 2002 and beyond. (updated 6/22/01)
