Objectives

To test and evaluate the adequacy of the newly developed US-made CFRP prestressing strands, reinforcing rods and stirrups, and also to compare obtained mechanical properties and characteristics of the tested domestic CFRP materials with the available CFRP products. Design guidelines will be developed based on the findings of the above. Also, the effect of concrete confinement, stimulating the effect of shear reinforcement on the transfer length will be determined. (updated 6/22/01)

Comments
