Study Description
Objectives
To evaluate the ability of the Corelok vacuum sealing device for improving the determination of the bulk specific gravity of compacted HMA samples. (updated 6/22/01)
Comments
Phase I of the study is now complete. NCAT is working on putting out a draft for review later this month. Report will include AASHTO specifications for testing. Phase II of the study, testing the ruggedness of the equipment will begin shortly. (2/05/02).
